Merry Christmas I Festive Recipes

Hi there!

Christmas 2021 who could believe it? It has been another tough year of restrictions and lockdowns. I feel dread as I even type the word and want to move on as quickly as possible. As someone that is excited and can’t wait for Christmas from November 1st found myself this year as part of the boring cynical anti Christmas brigade. It wasn’t until a recent trip to London that I got into the festive spirit it really took full immersion in the sparkling lights and festive bustle that London has to offer to get me there. This also inspired my festive recipe video that can be viewed below.

Although parties are not entirely off the menu, they will not be the usual festive affair that doesn’t mean that we cant enjoy a small family gathering and I have many recipes for you. From spiced nuts for snacking on with drinks throughout Christmas as well as my chocolate dipped macaroons that look like snowballs dipped in chocolate, nduja sausage rolls that are fiery and delicious, popcorn chicken with duo of dips which everyone loves and to top it all off I have a couple of festive cocktails my gingerbread apple martini and my cranberry fizz.

Happy Christmas & Seasonal Eating Everyone

Daniel Diver Christmas

A quick post to keep you up to date with the latest. There is now a new seasonal section in the recipes section appropriately and not very original called Christmas. Check it out here

In this section you will find my favourite seasonal eats. The focus this year will not be the big day itself but the lead up and the aftermath. By this I mean I will be sharing the sort of food that I, and everyone I know likes to eat at this time of year. Such as cosy bowl food to be eat with from a cosy spot on the couch with nothing but a spoon required and some good seasonal programming,. Suppers that are relaxed, easy and great for feeding a crowd whether it be family, friends or a combination of both. Stress-free party food that is simple to make, relying on all the shortcuts to make throwing a party a simple pleasure that makes you want to throw a party and look forward to doing so. Of course, there will also be plenty of sweet recipes, who could celebrate Christmas without the sweet cakes and bakes? Or perhaps I should say who would want to?

Finally, there will be those all-important recipes to make sure that there’s no wastage. That all those leftovers can be reused to make new and exciting feast. Christmas leftover truly are glorious and one of my favourite parts of Christmas. I love to open the fridge and see it crammed with cold cuts and other delicious items, the excitement of creating something new and wonderful from what’s left from previous feast.

There will be several new seasonal recipes added to both here and my You Tube channel. Please subscribe above or to my You Tube channel so that you don’t miss a thing.
